Testimonials
My experience with Cathy has been nothing short of miraculous to this point. I have gone from a not so confident 5 handicapper down to a very confident scratch golfer in just about 6 months and it is all thanks to my teacher! Cathy has the ability to blend both the mechanics of the swing as well as the mental side of the game for overall improvement. Her approach has made it easy for me to understand but more importantly be able to execute the changes we have made on the golf course. I am highly recommending her as a coach to any golfer who wants to take their game to the next level.

Cathy gave me back my game of golf. Prior to losing my vision I was an avid golfer. As a blind golfer I was happy just to be out on the course and hit a ball. Since working with Cathy, I now am able to play the game tee to green with confidence! Cathy understood my disability and provided instruction that allowed me to visualize the adjustments I needed to improve all aspects of my game. Cathy's instruction style is professional yet comfortable, I am forever grateful!

Being a semi-beginner golfer, (just started playing on golf courses a year ago), I took 5 golf lessons with Cathy and my game has improved tremendously. Not only does she teach how to hit each club, gain power with the swing motion, offer suggestions on what type of club is better for my ability and develop the “mental” side of the game, she does it with a calming patience, professionalism and a smile. Cathy goes the extra mile in using multiple approaches that I can understand. She takes into account my tennis training and adapts analogies in her teaching that a tennis player can grasp. I have worked with several other golf instructors and none measure up to the quality that Cathy brings to the profession.

Cathy is an excellent teacher. She effortlessly translates the intricacies of the golf swing into simple ideas that resonate with me. After a few lessons, Cathy used the information she learned about me to structure her approach so I would learn faster. One of my goals was to lower my handicap. Cathy assured me that it would if I practiced and followed her instructions. As predicted, my handicap has dropped every season I have worked with Cathy. In 2010, I finished the season at a new low, a 10 handicap, 13 strokes lower than when I started working with Cathy in 2008. I feel proud of my accomplishments and am happy to share the credit with Cathy. Without her help, I would not have made the same strides. If you want to work with someone who can adapt to you and help you reach your goals, I recommend Cathy MacPherson.

My game had deteriorated to the point that I decided I would have to stop playing if I couldn’t improve. I took lessons from several teachers in the last year with little improvement. On my first lesson Cathy found a fault in my setup, which all the others had missed, and which was preventing me from swinging properly. She has the gift of all great sports teachers to be able to describe the same thing in many different ways until one of the descriptions works for the particular student. Her enthusiasm and love for the game are infectious and make the lesson time with her very enjoyable. I have had many golf lessons and lessons in other sports and she is one of the finest sports teachers I have ever known.

As soon as I met Cathy she made me feel very comfortable. We immediately spoke the same language about how the body works. I am a physical therapist by trade and do a lot of work with golfers. Cathy was able to put my swing flaws into a language that made sense to me as a PT.
If you want to improve your game you MUST see Cathy. She is able to look at how your body affects your swing and make immediate, yet simple changes that produce great results. Cathy has accomplished what many teachers can't even imagine...a Top 50 Teacher! That is an incredible achievement. Once getting that accolade, what else do you need to do? Well, the one thing that I admire about Cathy is that she is never done improving herself as a coach. That alone, is all you need to know about Cathy! Call her now for better golf.

I have had the pleasure of working with Cathy for many years. When you get to a certain playing level...playing golf well is not about mechanics and swinging a club...it is about keeping your emotions in check, confidence and execution. Cathy is the rare teacher who understands that and gives you tools to play well. She has played competitively and shares that invaluable experience. Often times Cathy will give me an amazing lesson "without ever swinging a club!” Take a lesson with Cathy you won't be disappointed!!!
