FAQ
Is there a dress code at Ferncroft Country Club?
Yes, there is. Typical golf attire works just fine. Collared shirts, Bermuda shorts or casual slacks. No tee shirts, tank tops, cut off shorts or denim. Golf shoes are recommended for better traction but sneakers are ok too.
If I am a beginner and don't have any clubs, do you provide them?
Yes, I have clubs for use during your lesson time.
Can I come early to warm up?
Absolutely! The Ferncroft Country Club has a fantastic practice area. There is a large putting green near the front of the clubhouse, a short game area for chipping, pitching and sand and of course, our driving range. Feel free to come as early as you like to warm up.
Where do I go when I arrive for my lesson?
Usually you will find me on the driving range. I have a specific area set up at the far end of the range. There is a tent with table and chairs, so you can't miss it. When you arrive, just tell the folks in the cart area that you have a lesson with me and they'll happily give you a ride over, or direct you to my area at the range. If I'm not there, I could be giving a lesson in a different area of the facility. Feel free to make yourself at home and have seat under my tent or go ahead and warm up.
What payment methods to you take?
I can take cash or checks and any and all credit cards, whichever is easiest for you!
How can I book a lesson with you?
On the menu bar just above this section, you'll find the option for "Online Appointments." Click there and you'll find my availability on my calendar. The only thing you'll need to do is register to book a lesson. There's a quick register option which is fast and easy. Once you've arrived to my calendar, you can pick a time that works best for you. If you'd rather call for your first session, you may reach me at 508-284-8180.
Do you work with Men and Women?
Absolutely! I've had extensive experience with men and women of all ages and abilities.
Do you work with all levels of golfers?
In my almost 20 years of experience, I've had the opportunity to work with players of all skill levels. Whether it's the junior golfer playing on their high school team getting ready to head off to college, the new golfer just learning how to play or the experienced tournament player looking to shave off that final stroke to win their next tournament, I've been able to find ways to help them improve and reach their goals.
What services to you offer?
I have one on one coaching sessions, semi-private sessions, group programs and clinics, club fitting and an industry preferred mental golf profile.
What does it mean to be "fit" for clubs?
Every golfer is different and every golfer's swing is different. Even people with the same handicap have different swings. When you have clubs that fit you properly, you give yourself the best opportunity for success when you play which always leads to more enjoyment and lower scores. There are several things to consider when fitting a golfer to golf clubs. Utilizing the FlightScope X2 ball tracking launch monitor, I can more accurately see the effects of a properly fit golf club and how it improves things like club head speed, ball spin rate, launch angles and more. Once the proper club is determined, you will feel an ease of swing as the clubs work with you instead of against you and the efforts you make when you swing will produce far better and more consistent results. For more information on club fitting, visit my Club Fitting page on the website or call me at 508-284-8180.
How do I cancel a lesson?
If you've booked it through my scheduler, you can log back in and either reschedule it to a different day and time or simply cancel the time all together. If you'd rather call to cancel, I would be happy to it for you.
How much advance notice do you need for a cancelation?
I ask that you give me at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation.
